What is an Investor KITAS?
Investor KITAS refers to specialized visas tailored for specific purposes, each with distinct eligibility criteria. This visa is specifically granted to individuals who establish their own companies, qualifying them as founders.

Processing Stages
Obtaining an offshore investor KITAS involves two main steps:
1. E-Visa for Entry: Takes approximately 7-10 working days.
2. KITAS Submission Post-Entry: Generally takes around 2 weeks.
In contrast, acquiring an onshore investor visa may take between 1 to 2 months.
Required Documents for Investor KITAS Application
To successfully apply for an Investor KITAS, you must provide the following documents:
1. A passport with over 30 months of validity (scan or photo).
2. Bank statements (personal and company) showing a minimum balance of $2,000 and transaction history for the last 3 months (accepted from any bank, in any currency; both statements required in English).
3. Recent photos (selfies are acceptable).
4. A permanent residence address in Indonesia. It’s advisable to use an address linked to you, as you’ll need a SKTT for KITAS renewal. The property owner’s ID will also be required for this address change.
5. Email address.
6. WhatsApp number.

Other Visa Types
Apart from Investor KITAS, other visa options include:
- – Visa On Arrival: Allows a single entry for 30 days, extendable for an additional 30 days (total of 60 days).
- – Retirement Visa: For individuals over 60 it serves as a temporary residence permit. This is also available to foreign spouses and children of Indonesian citizens or KITAS holders.
- – Work Visa: Required for those who intend to work or earn income in Indonesia, allowing official employment.
- – Second Home Visa: A temporary residence permit valid for 5 years.
- – Remote Worker Visa (E33G): A multiple-entry visa valid for 1 year, allowing unrestricted entry and exit.
- – Multi-Entry Offshore Visa (D12): Valid for 1 or 2 years, permits a stay of 180 days at a time. It is extendable for another 180 days. In total a maximum of 360 days within the visa validity.
- – Multi-Entry Visa (D1, D2): Valid for 60 days with extensions available for an additional 60 days each time, allowing re-entries within the year.
- – Business Visa for Single Entry (B211): Allows a 60-day stay, extendable twice for an additional 60 days, for a total of 180 days.
